I received a check yesterday for $415.00 as part of a $9,500,000 settlement. I was unaware that I was a part of this class action lawsuit.

Apparently, the distributor/publishers of Shotgun News, Shooting Times, Guns & Ammo and a half-dozen other magazines distributed in Michigan by KSE, sold personal information to third parties without the knowledge or consent of their customers.

While I abhor lawsuits of this nature, feeling that I have been "harmed" in any way seems ridiculous, what should I buy with my newfound wealth?

Hello fellow check recipient. I received my check this week too. So weird how someone started this lawsuit without people knowing, then them finding the people "injured", and then paying them.
We used it towards some unexpected vet bills that came up two weeks ago.
Hope you can have fun with yours. How about an OTF Microtec knife.

I, too, received a check from the KSE settlement, but several months ago I received a letter informing me of an estimate of the eventually payout (approx. $420), and the opportunity to op out of the class action lawsuit.  I did not op out.

I'm considering using some of the payout to reup my lapsed subscription to "Guns & Ammo".

Sadly, I owed the house for a watch and some ammo.  Spent before I got it.

Missed this completely… I subscribed to G&A, Guns, and Am HG for years …. Bummer  😞
