You will need to take them to the Maui County Police station to register them shortly after arrival. Pistol magazines holding more than 10 rounds are prohibited but rifle magazines (e.g., AR-15) holding more than 10 rounds are allowed.
Don't ever become a pessimist... a pessimist is correct oftener than an optimist, but an optimist has more fun, and neither can stop the march of events.

Nah, just curious. I live on the Big Island but end passing through Maui on my way to work on a small island south of there.

Oh yeah, They have a pretty good USPSA club there and the public range is pretty good too.

Only firearms need to be registered so leave all magazines at home. Firearms must be in a hard case or rigid container, no magazines or they will check to see if they hold more than 10 rds (pistol, for now) leave rifle mags at home too.
You will also have to be registered in the Rap Back system too.
