I hope this isn’t against the rules.
My son is currently enlisted Navy, retires next year. I would like to buy him a truck to use around his little farm. Doesn’t need to be pretty, just something to haul stuff around and go to the feed/supply store in town occasionally. 4 wheel drive would be good. He is located a little west of Lexington. I’m going to visit him and his family next month and would like to buy this for him while I’m there. Any advice on where to look for this type of truck? Budget is 5-6k Thanks |

Look for a used Silverado 2003-2006.
GMT800 with a 5.3 (half ton) or 6.0 (2500/3500). That budget is doable with a 4x4 Z71. If he needs work done to it, take it to my friend Chris at CT Diesel Performance down off exit 83 (Duncannon lane) off I-75. |
