Hello Y’all,

I’m looking to relocate to OK. I have about 7 years of specialized armed security experience. I Currently don’t have any Oklahoma security certificates. Anyone have a lead on decent security companies/ job opportunities there?

Thank you!

You might try the Fayetteville and Fort Smith Arkansas area. The job growth is through the roof and the cost of living is lower on the eastern side of Oklahoma if you are looking close to the state line. I’m in a rural area that doesn’t have too many security type jobs. But NW Arkansas is booming. You might check the Arkansas Home town forum. Good luck.

Sor training in moore does cleet phase 1,2 & 4 unarmed/armed security classes and continual ed courses, amongst quite a few vo-techs, to get your cleet card.

Lots of unarmed & armed security jobs in the metro area, pay runs from $10 to $25 an hour & some have benefit packs depending on company & area of job, some part time, some full time. Some require additional odot license to drive company vehicles etc.

Most jobs are contract security through a security agency/company,

Metro Security companies I can think of right now.
Allied united
Tricorp security
Superior security & investigations
Henderson
Elite
Blackflag
Imperial
Brinks
Juerita
Securitas

And many more security agencies if you look in phone book & google

Not required if you're working through a security agency/company cause you'll work under their $200k+ suriety bond & 1 million insurance,

But you can get a armed security suriety bond from $10k & up to give you a bit of extra credibility.

I've had a current armed security cleet card and suriety bond since 04' even the many years I didn't work security monkey gigs,

The cleet armed security license & bond gives you a bit of "professional" cred that can get you into a non security gig that pays lots more than security gigs do.

Lots of tribal casinos hiring unarmed & armed security to,

most require you to have a current cleet license, even if you don't some will pay for training & license etc,

some if they pay for training etc you sign like a 1 year minimum length of service contract so if you quit or get fired in that timeframe you pay the training cost back.

Some casinos have excellent benifits packs for free also & some you have to pay for & some don't have anything but shit health insurance packages.

Lots of the companies/agencies I posted above have benefit packs but you have to pay for them.

Thank you, I definitely appreciate the information. I’ll start looking into getting the Certs.
