Displaced Bitterrooter here. My  mom ended up getting divorced  and is moving back in the area. We haven't been back for any reasonable amount of time in like 10 years. She is thinking she might end up living in Missoula. What are considered the bad parts of town these days?

Get out of Missoula, go towards Lolo, Stevensville area.

Missoula has gotten to liberal

Anywhere near the rivers I would avoid. I moved out of Missoula 12 years ago. The Old Orchard homes area down by Hawthorne and 3rd Street is still nice. But it's really expensive down there. If she's wanting when she's either going to have to go north or south.
