Looking For Recommendations For 2-Day Pistol Training in the general of both the Ft. Lauderdale and Jacksonville areas.
At least within a few hours of each.

Have some very novice friends looking for proper classroom/range training (safety, proper grip, drawing, shooting, reloading, holstering, etc., etc.) on each end of Florida.

Looking for any recommendations I can review and pass to them.

Thank you and as always appreciate the advice.

Thank you for the responses.
Have either of you taken these courses, or had friends who went?

TT, I am biased, as I am one of the owners of Florida Firearms Training. We teach between 4 - 6,000 students a year. We have been doing so (under this brand) for over 15 years. Before that we were the training arm of The Executive Solution.

Why should you train with FFT?
In class we remind our students to never be shy in asking the instructors WHY? If the instructor has not fully explained the WHY, then ASK… Everything you are taught, you should fully understand the logic, facts, physics and history of that subject. That’s our job… to teach you those. The Oxford dictionary defines TEACH as “1. Impart knowledge to or instruct (someone) as to how to do something. 2. Cause (someone) to learn or understand something by example or experience.” TEACHING is very different from just DOING or demonstrating.  A good instructor does not just “instruct” with a “do it this way” he / she teaches you, explains why do it this way, why not the other way, where this came from, how it came about, where it is from, who uses it… etc… We are teachers, we are educators!  We cut out the fluff, less of the opinions and more of the facts!

Why use FFT instructors? No one just shows up and just teaches a FFT curriculum course. All FFT instructors (regardless of their background and qualifications) have to go through the FFT Instructor training program. First they need to go through as a student (at least 3 - 9 times), then they go through as an assistant (at least 3 - 6 times) then they get to teach with oversight of the director of training….then and only then (if signed off by the director of training) are they allowed to teach that curriculum. This process goes for EACH and every one of our FFT courses. It’s the FFT way of doing things. We have nine instructors on staff along with other specialist adjunct instructors that we bring in as needed. Our personnel are without doubt our greatest assets. Instructor certified and insured, military, law enforcement, security and first responder veterans. Our teams are made up of professional subject matter experts. Most have in depth operational experience from multiple nations. Our instructors have trained local, state, federal, and foreign law enforcement, security and military personnel.

Let me know if I can help.
