Dang. I was really hoping to attend. Lucky for me I'm having Achilles repair surgery tomorrow

Based on the pain I feel if I accidentally flex my ankle, I think partial. Happened Friday morning while warming up to workout. Urgent care was pretty useless other than getting me an ortho appointment for yesterday (which I found out was a walk-in ortho). Should have gone there Friday. That PA did much more physical testing of it (that sucked) and said I got it pretty good and surgery was definitely needed if I wanted to continue my normal activities in life. I guess I'll know more after they fix it tomorrow.

ETA: Thanks!

Definitely not retracted up in my leg.

I’m game for both. May have one or two friends interested. Great to have more training options within close range.

Vigorously water running will keep your legs relatively healthy.

Thanks! If class isn't going to be strenuous, I'll be tentative. I come out of the splint on the 4th and get put into a boot with heel lift wedges that slowly get taken out. That will take up to 6 weeks, but it sounds like I should be able to walk around after that, but nothing explosive like running, jumping, etc.

I’m registered for the Saturday class. It’ll be last minute until I know if I can stay for both events.

Would it be ok/possible to use the training carbine, then switch to my 1301T for the live fire?
Or is that a dumb idea?

I’m still planning on it. Just trying to give the bank account a minute to recover because it was hemorrhaging badly during the holidays.

What kind of facilities are on site for those that are looking to spend the night?

Thanks!

Reminder to register via the link sooner rather than later. I can accommodate short notice confirmed reservations, but it is easier if I have some heads up.

Also, how many of you planning to do both want to stay overnight on site? It isn't a problem, I just needed to plan for the logistics of it.

On site overnight for me.  @dirty-dozen was planning the same when we spoke last.

Ben, I registered for both days. I will need lodging as well as body armour and helmet rental. Do Oakley Det Cord ballistic rated eye pro work for these classes?

I'd sure like to go if possible. I'm in Sheridan.
ETA: probably too much of a drive to Townsend.

Great low key training. For someone that has no experience in deliberate or dynamic room entry I learned a ton. Unfortunately the wind destroyed the live fire set up but we had a lot of force on force scenarios with airsoft pistols and M4s with blanks. Small class so we got a lot of cycles through a lot of different situations.

Great to meet Ben and the other arfcom members.  Thanks again, Ben!

I agree. I’m going to pick up a couple of those training G19’s. I felt the force on force training was very useful.
