The ATF stopped distinguishing the difference years ago so no it basically goes by manufactures labeling. Without a specific product I’m going by the name “warCOMP” meaning compensator to me.

That said, all of it is legal, it just depends on what you’re mounting it to and I f the firearm must comply with the AWB vs a type that does not.

There is no issue with possessing them in general.
