Hello everyone, after visiting the forum for the better part of a decade I finally joined. It’s belated but thank you to everyone who has helped now and then with build or repair questions I looked up, the forum is incredibly helpful as are the people in it. I did want to share an experience I had over the past week or so. I’ve built 4 rifles with Faxon barrels, 3 for myself and one for a friend. 2 of the 30 caliber barrels I’ve used are some of the best I have, a 308 and a 300 blackout. Incredibly accurate, as well built as I could hope. The third was a 223 and my friend is very happy with it. The fourth was a 223 for myself and was a problem. I’m not really into shooting for groups, if a 2 moa barrel shoots a little over at 100 yards I pretty much chalk it up to me. This barrel had something wrong with it, large groups at any distance. I normally don’t believe warranties, in my experience more often than not they are worthless. But I called Faxon, very helpful, suggested I remount the barrel and try without a muzzle. I did and same problem. I email Robert and within a day he emailed back saying they would replace it. I thought that was nice, I’ll probably get it in a few months due to the world losing its mind and hardly a barrel to be found. Email back today just asking how long it might be and Robert already shipped the barrel and it will be here tomorrow. Faxon has made a list of companies I trust and that is a very short list. In general I do find the customer service in the firearms industry to be better than any other, but this was a notch above what I thought would have been excellent service.
