What a fun event. More challenging than Rifleman, and probably more tiring than the Rimfire KD. I scored 213 with my Beretta 92, 217 with my Buckmark, and 242 with a borrowed Walther GSP.
I had too much caffeine both mornings. I camped on the range, and out from my wife’s supervision, helped myself to much more than my normal amount of morning caffeine and I feel like that impacted my abilities for the first half of each day. Next time I won’t do that
I do wish that I had brought better shoes. I wore my normal cowboy boots that I wear at work (construction) but something about shooting on gravel wore me out rather quickly. There’s lots of ups and downs in Rifleman, but tons of standing in Pistolseed. I did have a chair I brought, but still I was fatigued from all the standing I did which honestly surprised me.
It was a typical Appleseed event, tons of fun, new faces, great instructors, and an overall great time. I wish I had done this sooner. Looking forward to doing it again.
