I just grew up thinking Colt 9mm smg’s were cool and also looked at flimsy rube goldberg get to the front left corner of glock magazine devices and thought that was a shitty part.
Its a direct machined in rebated 9mm mag well. We do 3d machining to make it look like a difficult forging was used. Its super cool. Nnoveske sells a less cosmetically nice lower for like $600.
The mim feed ramp and ejector/bolt catch extension parts are going to delay that project several months yet. We do have the programming code and fixturing 100% ready to go however. The feed ramp is 3D designed to put rounds perfectly into the center of the chamber unlike the colt part that is somewhat crude. We did prototype and validate it. It works. We are also hoping to make a bcg that resolves 9mm firing pin breakage and a special buffer for the 9mm that both reduces rate and shortens stroke so cases can’t end up in the fire control pocket.
The operating system weight is similar to an m1a1 thompson smg.
These are a lot of projects for a small manufacturing team, so some of these parts might be slower to arrive on the market than others. For example the lower potentially before the complete upper and buffer.
I would also like to design and make a .308 AR, but that is a large project in itself. We’re working on 5.56mm improved bcg’s right now, and a two stage trigger.
We have to be realistic and strategic with projects.
