Here's a question, what happens if you're first poster AND the winner?

Thank you Mark LaRue. I still cannot wrap my head around this thing, its so freakin perfect. I cant believe I won. I have it here next to me and I still cant believe it. Thank you Mark LaRue and thank you to everyone at LaRue, for this and for everything you do. I also have to thank my buddy Pat, if not for him I wouldn't have this perfection in my grubby little hands. After I posted up my number I forgot to check to see who won, and during a night of drinking we realized neither of us had checked. He pulls it up and what do you know, he was off by 4 numbers––he chose 1134. and I tell ya there's no better way to find out you've won the LaRue UHFO contest than while having drinks with your best friend and shooting buddy skip ahead to last week where I get a phone message that UPS is delivering a package that requires an adult signature... hehehehehehe..... never had UPS leave me a voice mail before.... but I had to work the next day and missed it, and they reset delivery for the following Monday. Great, but I still have to work. Pat saves the day again and volunteers to come spend the day at my house and sign for me. And of course it was a late delivery so he was here all day. But then this is where it gets bad. You know how they say that idle hands are the devils play things? Well Pat is a #&@%. Sitting around my house bored all day he comes up with the idea that a hide-and-seek kind of evening is in order.... 25 minutes I spend poking around every nook and cranny in my house before he falls over laughing and finally tells me where it was. It was fun though and I suppose he deserved the vengeance for losing to me by 4 numbers, and then having to camp at my house all day waiting for it to arrive But back to the man. Mr. LaRue, thank you. thank you. I don't think I can say it enough. This has got to be the best way to wrap Halloween and Christmas all in to one big ball of LaRue Happiness! I've wanted a stealth since the first one i saw online. Thank you, thank you, thank you sir! so here are the pictures of the October winner. I got waaaay too excited once I finally started unpacking it and had it assembled and thread locked before I realized I needed to be taking pictures. And the only picture I have of the box at delivery is a picture of Pat with the box flipping me off.... but I tried to recreate the scene as best I could once I realized it. More to come as assembly progresses :D http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b90/jado-/1138/IMG_1880.jpg of course when I set everything up the heard could smell the new arrival.... http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b90/jado-/1138/IMG_1882.jpg and it didn't take them long to plan an assault to free the newly arrived Christmas Dillo. Shortly after this they all vanished. But I heard a report this morning that 4 dillos were spotted in a bar somewhere in Mexico; I figure they'll be back before Thanksgiving. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b90/jado-/1138/IMG_1884.jpg |

Kinda matches with the Texas Spec BCG http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/qq314/d3vnu11/Rifles/UHFO%20OBR/R1.jpg The Punisher and OBR play well together http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/qq314/d3vnu11/Rifles/UHFO%20OBR/punisher.jpg Full length shot http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/qq314/d3vnu11/Rifles/UHFO%20OBR/rifle1.jpg I think the OBR will wear the Acog and ultimately be on a LT Lower while the Punisher lower will get the UDE CTR stock and MOE grip. UBR will go with the OBR to offset the rails weight. Hell I might just throw the CTR on and buy a RISR and see which is more to my liking...cheekweld vs balance. Of course if LT designed a RISR for the UBR...hint...hint http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/qq314/d3vnu11/Rifles/UHFO%20OBR/acog.jpg Looks great!! Congrats on the win |
