Being new to AR15.com we would like to introduce ourselves personally.
Our names are Dan and Heather Thomas and our online business is ran out of Fort Worth Texas.
I (Dan) am a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. I served 11 years before a knee injury/failed surgery pushed me out medically. Of those 11 years, 3 years were enlisted in the reserves and 8 were active duty as an officer. My time as an officer was in Artillery, which is what the name of our business, Fiddler's Defense, is based upon (see our about us). I served 13+ months in Iraq from 2008-2009. Since becoming a civilian I have worked in management for distribution and manufacturing. My love for firearms paired with my military and civilian experience inspired me to start our own business in firearms (FFL pending), parts, accessories and ammo. I handle the selection/ordering of parts, posting on AR15.com and other locations and the creation and maintenance of the website.
Heather is a stay at home mother of four children. She has been by my side through it all and handled all of the challenges that have come our way. She spends time with me at the range and is learning more about firearms, their parts, their accessories and ammo each day. Heather handles the receiving, shipping and phones each day.
The COVID lock downs of 2020 is when we decided it was time to start our own business. It took time and development to get the business and the website fully launched. We went all in when we started receiving parts and accessories in April 2021. We hope to have our FFL in the near future in order to be fully operational as dealers.
We fully believe that all Americans should be armed. We want to be a part of arming Americans and we take immense pride knowing that we have supplied Americans with something they will use with their firearms.
Our personal goal is to develop and grow Fiddler's Defense to the point that it is our family business that sustains our and eventually our children's daily lives. We want to be able to work together full time and have our children become part of the business as they grow older. We aren't doing this to become rich. It honestly isn't about the money. It is about being able to work and spend time together as a family. That is what we want at the end of the day.
Our background in the military also inspired us to give to Veteran focused charities. Part of Fiddler's Defense's mission is to donate to Veteran charities. It may not be much yet, but we hope our donations will continue to grow over time as we grow as a business. Our focus is on Gold Star Families and Suicide Awareness. These are near to our hearts as we have personally experienced the effects of death in combat and post combat on family and friends.
We are here for anyone that we can help. Customer service is a top priority and we do everything we can to help when we can. Please never hesitate to contact us if you need something.
Thank each and everyone of you that read this.
God bless,
Dan
