Anyone do any RVing around 30a, the Florida Panhandle.

What's the best, the state parks like Topsail or the private RV Parks?

I am thinking about going for a week or 2 weeks, probably in September or October.

I am thinking we want to avoid spring break kids.

What tips or tricks or suggestions do you have?

We stayed at Camping on the Gulf in Destin. It was a great place.

15 years ago, after leaving Benning.  The locals don't like you hanging out in WalMart parking lots.

I live there

There is all kinds of camp grounds here. The time of year you chose is when the snow birds come back.

@Bunnysriflestock

Up here you will find "RV parks" that have permanent sites that, lets say are just a trailer park.  Folks and myself have had stuff turn up missing and just riff raff in some of these.  Some are more or less summer homes with wheels.

Anything like that to avoid?

Florida has a 28 or 30 day rule for places like hotels and camp grounds to keep that sort of stuff to a minimum I know a couple Camp grounds even make the Snow birds switch spots in the camp ground to comply.
There is some really nice ones, It would depend what area's you are really interested in checking out here

Plenty to choose from in this area. I’m spending the week in a private RV lot in Port St Joe. It really comes down to what you want to do.

Reserve early. If it coincides with scallop season, it will be crowded.
