Does anyone get insurance when hunting out of the US?

I have a bear hunt coming up in Canada and my Wife and I are considering whether or not to get insurance specific for Canada/

Any suggestions would be welcome.

A buddy was fishing BC and had a gall stone issue. Had to be pulled out by helicopter. It was very expensive.

Insurance on my last hunt was @ $750. I didn’t have to use it but if something had happened it would have paid out for the hunt as well as the transport.

When I was young and fit I never bought it. Now I am older and consider it for every trip.

I do two things

I insure my trip itself Incase if cancellations or a disaster and I also use MedJet insurance  in case if a medical emergency. MedJet is worth the leave of mind to me when traveling f outside the US.
