Switching things around on the AI 6.5 Creedmoor and need a set of 34mm 1.00" rings.

Trying to decide between Badger 306-140 in 6061 aluminum or NF A223 X-Treme Duty in 7075.

Is this splitting hairs? I'll be replacing some old Badger steel rings.

I have the 6 screw NF.
Them mugs seem a bit overkill. But who doesn’t like overkill

They are, I own two them on my AR's. However, this is just my precision bolt-rifle and don't plan on any red dots or attachments. I have an Accuracy 1st scope level already and that's all it will see.

The only set of Badger rings I ever owned broke during installation - defective steel.

Near scope rings  I've used them twice on my precision rifles and am very happy with them,

Seekins Precision  is another very good option.

You "broke" a set of Badger steel rings during installation? That's pretty special dude.

I was really surprised - didn't over torque them - one of their beefy tactical rings cracked like pot metal when tightened down. This was back over 20 years ago.

You can get 34mm Vortex/Seekins PMR rings for like $80

interesting if that's true.  I bought the Vortex rings and like them.  Working well so far on my 6.5cr and the price was fantastic.

OP-

I have badger, vortex pmr (seekins), and seekins branded rings.  They’re all really good, I’d say it’s splitting hairs. Neither will let you down.

It’s easier to find the vortex/seekins used for <$100.  I have about 4 pair and I really like them.
