I just bought a CZ 457 Varmint MTR bone stock. Ordered a Vortex Venom 5-25x56 FFP, 20 moa scope rail and Leupold 34mm high rings. Also ordered a Magpul bipod until I decide to go down the PRS NRL rabbit hole. Anything else I need to add for backyard fun? I have a 200 yard range and thought about adding a know your limits target. Any suggestions for the range?

Trigger, trigger, trigger

I run Timney HIT triggers in all my Bergara rifles, set to 6 ounces.  If I had your MTR it would get a Jard or a Timney trigger.

Enjoy your new addiction!  Precision rimfire is my favorite.

BRAND NEW CZ 457 TRIGGER // 3 OUNCES!!!!!!

With those high rings you might find a cheek piece is going to be necessary.  The Titan looks great on the MTR:  https://victorcompanyusa.com/universal-cheekrest-kits

Edited to add:  KYL targets are awesome, all of mine, both rimfire and centerfire have come from Shooting Targets 7 - https://shootingtargets7.com/

That KYL target is nice but can be a tough one.

Get a variety of steel targets.  If you shoot only rimfire, they will not be expensive and will last forever.  Place some at a variety of distances, as you are unlikely to be the only one to ever use the range.

Chickens (small)
Turkeys (medium)
Pigs (big)

Plate swingers are good, too.  Again, place them at different distances.

Every range needs a nice target stand with a good backer for mounting paper targets.

Boredom is bad!

Chickens at 200 yards, offhand, with iron sights (or lowest power) is a lot of fun!

Some good ammo! With exceptions it's almost linear the more you pay the better accuracy with 22lr. On that note Eley Contact shoots very well and I just bought a case for $527 shipped. Puts most touching at 50 and the fliers are usually only a quarter inch off maybe a hair more. My lots of CCI SV seem to have wild fliers 2 or 3 moa off. SK STD+ shoots better and has a better es for shooting distance.

The factory trigger can be adjusted easily for take up, weight, and overtravel. Don't have a scale but I'd say mine is more than 2 and less than 3lbs. I don't care to have a trigger light enough to measure in ounces. That's too light for field work or shooting in the cold IMO.

I'm using Vortex medium rings on mine with the same scope. $20 ARCA rail off amazon and the spring out of one of my ball point pens has the trigger pull under a pound.
