After more than a year of consuming Eric Cartina and Ultimate Reloader videos, picking my buddies brains on how to run my process and what equipment to go with… I I finally started to develop some loads for my 6GT last night.  Worst SD was 14.7 and best was 2.2.

Going to start working around 33.1 grains of Varget and .02 run at 2896. Which was the bottom right… I felt myself push that flyer all the way.

How’d I do on my first run?

No real pattern to the flyers. It’s been two months since I shot my match gun, so I was a touch rusty… I know I pushed that bottom right

33.4. 2912 ES 17.2 SD 7.5
33.7. 2940 ES 14.7 SD 5.8
34  2956 ES 21 SD 7
34.3 2982 ES 5.8 SD 2.2
33.1 2894 ES 7.9 SD 2.8

I want to keep my speed under 2900

Wanting to save money, lol…

Was getting some hang fires from my first case of primers, 4 out of the first 200 CCI BR4. Switched to a different box and none so far, it’s speeding them up a touch as well.

Ended up settling on this, over 2900 but it’s shooting the best. God bless Wyoming… 15-18 mph wind out to 100, there is a nice berm that protects out to 200. Drove out and it was blowing 22-25 at distance. Took it out to 720 it was only shooting .1 high

32.8 grains of Varget behind the Berger 105 1.95 base to ogive which is about 30 of the lands.

19 Shots 2910 avg. 12.3 ES and 3.7 SD I didn’t include the 20th, I knew the last charge was a 10th low and didn’t feel like adding more as I was in a hurry… any recs on hand tools to drop kernels?

Looks like you have it dialed in.

I started over in my loading techniques a few months ago after watching a Cortina video where he says we overthink this stuff.  Says it's about combustion (ES and SD), then harmonics (100m grouping adjusted by length), and finally consistent BC (projectile quality) for longer range grouping.

What are you using to measure/throw your powder?  I'm looking at a few options to up my game in that area.

He’s the wizard for sure, I like his theory of do whatever you do, but just keep your process consistent. Haven’t gotten into tipping or measuring and batching every bullet… but there are some pretty substantial difference with the Bergers. I have to seat a little long every time and work my way down as each bullet can be off by a several hundredths on the base to ogive measurement.

I got the Chargemaster Supreme. Its speed is perfect for where I’m at in terms of workflow. It only misses on occasion, but unfortunatley I have an open duct in my basement where I reload and it’s aimed towards my bench, I block it when I’m standing in front of it, but I think I need to put a vent on it… it’s just really cold down there 😂
