I’d like to replace the plastic stock on my all weather 25-06 with something better. HS makes a drop in stock that I’m pretty sure will fit the barrel profile of my rifle.

Does anybody have any experience with HS sporter stocks or restocking ruger hawkeyes? Trolling across the internet I’ve read that the Hawkeyes don’t like to be free floated but it could just be internet BS.
