For others that may pursue such a good project, many moons ago when I was a carpenter’s laborer building concrete forms on a high rise building’s loading dock. The concrete crew painted the forms with No 2 diesel as a release agent. I think that’s the same as off-road diesel. I‘ll second the vibrator tool for the concrete. A good sloshing of a hoe or board into the mix after you pour will help eliminate bubbles. I’m sure a real concrete guy will offer more info for all who follow this thread. Now all I need is a mixer. I ain’t agonna mix all that with a wheelbar and hoe. |
