Gives me some new things to practice.  I've had strobing lights for years, but have avoided using them for the most part just to keep things simple.  Sounds like it's worth the effort to gain an advantage in the OODA loop.  The Riding the beam sounds interesting too.  I trained to search from the outside of the room and paint the ceiling with a light which, with modern 200+ lumen lights, tends to light up the entire room.  But training for the defense, "riding the beam" sounds like a fantastic technique!

Paint the ceiling is a great technique!
