They quit making the 3000 just recently, too. Those existing 3000s will prob be desirable since the 3000 was a real nice mid range radio. |

My Flex 6500 arrived today and I was able to get it up and running in about an hour. I really like SmartSDR software and the radio is simply amazing. |

Well after using the Flex 6500 for several days I can safely say that I am very impressed.
The receiver is simply fantastic and far exceeds my expectations. I have been able to work digital, CW and phone without any issues. The SmartSDR software is leaps and bounds better than the old PowerSDR. The 6500 feels more like a radio, as the setup is less dependent on the PC than with original PowerSDR software. Working split using RX slices was impressive and I imagine that it will be a handy feature when working the next big DX pileup. Flex has a winner with the new 6000 series of radios.
