Boomer,

They are roadshock 3” led 2120 lumens flood with side light.
I also bought the wiring kit. It was around $80.
There was a YouTube video about them, so I decided to give them a try.
I also picked up an Apex 12000 lb winch hook.

Hahn, Idaho. An old mining town with basically nothing left of it. Pretty much the middle of nowhere.

I'll be there. Might even camp...

I took it on a trail ride yesterday and found that the rear tires rub the rock rails while flexed. Plus one of my shocks is wheezing.
Contemplating a Metal Cloak 3.5 Game Changer lift. Then I really need gears / lockers.

Awesome!  I'll text you before I take off and we'll hang out for sure.

I just swapped axles/gears/etc in January and I really wish I'd done a gear swap a long time ago.  Such a huge improvement.  You love it.

What shocks are you running?  I have two rear Rancho RS9000 adjustable for a JKU 2"-4" that are used but still have a lot of life left in them.  They're yours if you want them.  I can bring them to you at the RITO.  I think I even have one or two spare adjuster knobs if I can find them.

I'm on an EVO 3.5 but the MC was the other kit that I went back and forth on.  I think you will be very happy when you do the suspension and gears.  Your JP looks fantastic!

I wish I'd gone with the GC 2.5 over the 3.5

The 3.5 with 35s and high clearance fenders is going to look like he skipped leg day.

That's a good point.  I'm on 37s, 3.5, and high fenders and if I don't go to 40s, I'm considering go down to 2.5 myself.  Good advice.

I chose the 3.5 at the advice of the MC guys, because I wanted to keep factory fenders. I still wish I'd done the 2.5

I just can't see replacing the 2.5 inch lift I have on my Jeep now with another 2.5 inch lift.

When you cycle your axles now can you put a tire in your fender? Up travel is a good thing.

Why do you wish you went with a 2.5 instead of a 3.5?

The Gamechanger isn't a lift, it's a whole system. But honestly, the reason you get the GC is for the flex. I believe it's still the flexiest lift you can get without going 4 link

Why do you wish you went with a 2.5 instead of a 3.5?
The 3.5 lift netted me about 4.5 inches of boost upward. With 35s, it's honestly almost too tall to DD, and I'm 6'3

The 2.5 would give me the same amount of flex with less height to jump into, as well as a lower CoG.

I haven't put mine on a RTI ramp, but with my wheeling, I have yet to get a tire stuffed up into my fender. I don't think I've been all that close, though it is kind of hard to tell when you're flexed and off camber. I'm not gonna get out and look.

Nice!

Plan a trip to Big Bend.  The off-roading isn't difficult, but it's beautiful and sparse.

I second this with the added "post pics or it doesn't count".  We are trying to swing a fall/winter trip to Big Bend right now but work scheduling is so weird these days it will honestly be a "get up and eff-it, lets go" decision.

If any of you get into BB recently, please post pics and a little write up.  Let me live through you!

Yeah 2.5 is fine for 35's,  I have a 3.5 long arm on 37s and can just get the tires touching the inside of the fenders at full flex.

Don’t TJs typically need more lift to run a comparably sized tire as a JK?

I must be broken. I think I am the only person who acquired a jeep for its off road abilities, but has zero desire to go to the southwest.

Quite possibly,  I've only spent a little time in Utah/Arizona and I LOVE the big sandstone there and we have big granite here.
