The Northman

½

out of

The best non-fantasy movie I've seeing years.
I only wish they had more subtitles.  At times it was difficult to understand what was being said.

I finished second season of Marvelous mrs Maisel.
Definitely not bad. I was watching it on some new streaming website but think it should okey considering i always use ipvanish to protect my privacy, right?
I read about vpn on this source for the first time and since them don't do any actions online without switching it one.

watched a bit of things.

Joe Pickett.  - not bad, I like it never read it though. compared to other stuff I felt it was not as hollyweirded.  However only a few shows in.

Skyfall  -  meh, some parts were good, some of it sucked.
Interstellar - meh, cool and one part was predictable, other parts not.
Transformers - Last Knight - kinda crappy.
Cold Skin - different lower budget horror film  not what I expected but other than some weak cgi, it was better than I thought it would be.
The Wolf of Snow Hollow - another decent budget horror film.
The marksman  - could have been a lot better, some bs
The Wrath of Man - some was good some was predictable.

Started Watching the Scalp Hunters.........   its hokey and slow. not sure if I will finish it. maybe, not sure If I seen it when a kid.

I'm watching "Warrior Nuns".

Nuns, with accents, kick ass in the name of...whatever.

It's very odd.

Bridgerton season 2.

Funny, amazingly well made(direction, storytelling, dialogue, camera work, lighting and music) and unbelievably erotic.

The sexiest thing I have ever watched.

Fight me.

Finally got around to watching Hereditary. From the same guy who wrote/directed Midsommar. Probably one of the better "horror" movies I've ever seen.

Finally watched the Northman,  it was just ok.  Some parts was great. Some of it was slow as slow.

Was hoping for a more epic tale but. at least the locations fit the part.

Terminal List was good.   finally started the boys.

The Boys was pretty good. finished it thus far.
Boundless was ok, Had some good moments.
The Road to Berlin   - 5 out 10  ...... meh.
The Protégé  Decent but not great 6.5

The Rings of Power first 3 episodes could have been one episode - snoozefest other than about 25 minutes so far.

Watched "Mother Android" last night on HULU. Not sure what to think. Whiny, pregnant Chloe Moretz & Baby-Daddy trying to get to Boston while being chased by rogue robots. I wonder why her career fizzled because she had a lot of early success, but whatever the case she's carving out a niche in mostly low-budget straight-to-video movies.

Anyone watch the new Fletch on Amazon with Jon Hamm as Fletch? I've never read the books but the Chevy Chase movies were great. Wondering if this is worth paying for.

I have no idea if previously mentioned, but Sprung has me in tears.

Aside from new stuff like the Star Wars’ offshoots, I am not sure I have seen a new series since The Brady Bunch.

Gangs of London. I didn't have high expectations, because, LOL, it's London, but this show is pretty bad ass. It's like the modern day Peaky Blinders. 5 out of 5.

Prospect
2018 indie scifi movie.Tough little story about prospecting for organic "jewels" on a planet with a toxic atmosphere.
The setting is reminiscent of Space Frontier stories like Firefly with hardscrabble characters out in the ass end of the vasty black.
Immersive world building, a haunting score and good performances by Pedro Pascal and Sophie Thatcher make this an interesting show.

A couple of weeks ago I saw The Tingler on Svengoolie.

The last time I watched it was when I was a teen on a B&W TV set.
Now, seeing it on a Color Set I got to witness the colored scene on the bathroom.

Effective

Recalling the scenes that were originally supposed to be in a Movie Theater, I just had to laugh.

Drama, of a sort, then, now, semi-campfest.

The English. 2022. Great western series. Emily Blunt is still hot. Great acting and plot. Depicts how the west was stolen through atrocities committed against the native American.

That sounds funny. I’m so glad he’s working again.

And… I just started The Peripheral on Amazon Prime. I’m in the middle of episode 5 but I’m taking a break to read the book.

Casino Royal from 2006. Maybe it is hard to believe but i only watched it now, after so many years. Must admit it really got inside my head and for the first time in my life i did some gambling online https://bestcasinoplay.ca/payments/google-pay/. I always thought it is not fun and only weak people play, but in real in turned out to be a very interesting thing and now i understand why people are doing it.

Just finished season 1 of American Gigolo with Jon Bernthal. Bernthal was great and Gretchen Mol was hot.

Had a good storyline and some unexpected plot twists.

I enjoyed it and hope they do another season.

just finished Jack Ryan season 3.  it was pretty solid.  They did either pay homage or stole from some of the books and films. for a couple scenes.

and they got one part wrong, calling Naval F-18's   F-16's.

The Warriors,  only remembered bits and pieces.  Watched it again.

The Battle.  was pretty good for a chinese flick.

211  nic cage.  it sucked.

Northern Limit line.   A Korean film.  Was not too bad considering.  could have been better, but was a lot better than others had led me to believe.

The  Road to revenge.  A kinda hokey western so far. watched about half.

Centurion  - which was pretty decent.
The Outfit - pretty solid drama.
War of the worlds -season one pretty decent. for a foreign made show
The Swordsman  - just ok
Top Gun - Maverick   - I liked it alot despite a few things that did not make sense.
Devotion  - Pretty good.  A bit light on the action and some of the CGI could have been better. Some was really good.

I just watched The Beast, it’s about a Russian tank crew cut off in Afghanistan. It has a B movie feel but I ended up liking it enough to watch it again. Good entertaining movie.

Also watched the Babadook a horror movie about a single mom trying to raise her problematic son. I find most horror movies way to over the top and unbelievable. This one had a decent work around for those issues.

IMDB has that listed as The Beast of War with the original title being The Beast (1988).
