Rest in peace HH.

I am just stunned, literally stunned.

They cyber community is a interesting, new social dynamic.  I never met HH, but, I conversed with him much on this forum.  I have lost a friend that I have never met.

just returned from HH's funeral ceremony. What an incredible father this man was! His sons gave a tear-jerking, emotional and uplifting view into the upbringing HH provided. I take from this the desire to be a better father, better husband, better son, better brother, etc. Gary Ribble you inspired me.

Judging what I knew about him, I would have expected nothing less.

Maybe a pin to the memorial site? It's ironic that all this happens where he was banned.

What greater legacy can a man hope for.

Proverbs 22:6
Train a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it.

He sure came across in a lot of his posts that he loved his family very, very much.  My heart really goes out to his family at this time because when someone like Garry leaves, there is a huge hole left behind for those who were close to him.

Oh man, I just heard about this.  I got along with him great on here.  I hate that the last time he and I talked, it was an argument.  Prayers to his family.

Ya know he and I almost always agreed.

Only once did we not where we kinda got into it, and he was EXACTLY like me in that by the time we got to the next thread we were back on the same page like nothing ever happened.

He probably had forgot about it by the time he clicked on the next page.

I would second this. Lots of folks in and out on vacations before school starts.

Just a little more time perhaps.

From my short time on ARFCOM, I came to respect and admire HH for his wisdom, faith, and convictions. He will be missed, but I am sure he is in heaven and I look forward to meeting him face to face in God's kingdom. RIP and prayers for his family, I'm sure they know how special he was.

Same here..I feel like I lost a strong ally and Battle Brother in our familiar trials of life!..My prayers go out to his family for such a tremendous loss.
Garry was one of a kind and it has been folks like himself who have held ARFCOM together...All while making it such a great a place for so many years..
Even as heart wrenching as it is, we all shouldn't be too saddened for the loss of Garry...I am willing to bet the farm he is JUST FINE right where he is!
Because I know He is dancing on streets of gold in his very own custom built palace...Exactly where he always looked forward to spending his eternity..With his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Those of us who knew his faith understand exactly what I mean.
Sometimes it is hard to understand why things happen the way they do...however, in his case.. I look at it this way...

His passing can always be explained as a simple act of God harvesting a wonderful soul off the planet Earth..Which will enhance the already majestic presence of Heaven FOREVER..
He will certainly be missed...Hopefully there are "palace lots" available close to the same "Heavenly neighborhood" that Christ chose to build Garry's Heavenly home..
I am sure he will make a great neighbor throughout eternity..
IF the Rapture happens as soon as I suppose it might..As for my husband and I...We'll be looking for you there when we catch
our ride off this rock!...
As for Old_Painless and you other Christians....Remember, Garry isn't gone...He is simply on a heavenly recon mission until we are all called home...

Thanks for letting us know, Clay.

Well said, thanks, and prayers sent for the HH family again,

If the TX HTF crew/anybody knows how to help the family or his kids, please let us know!

I'm a vet and cry at funerals... This one would've been exceptionally rough from the sounds of it.

Wow. I really got into it with this guy a few times.  I also was responsible for his last temporary ban and permanent GD ban, so I feel compelled to add a bit of closure.  I know that he would take the high road and do the same if it were me.

All is forgiven.

My condolences. Best wishes and prayers to you and your family.
