So...Breaking News.....Apparently a huge storm went through fairyland....wife has everyone saying....I need a fairy/gnome door...so I printed some and painted one...

So, an airbrush is amazing! So got body prepped and in primer now. Does vallejo primer need to be reduced? I used 3 Nozzle not the smaller 2.

Working very very slowly on the 63 inch RC Snafu P-47G. Health issues are making it damn near impossible to get much done. 20cc gas powered and only my 3rd gas powered plane out of 123 models now. Fitting a 3D printed fake radial into the cowl to make it look more like the real thing. PETG is some tough stuff when it comes to cutting and grinding.

Freewing 90mm EDF F-15 Eagle. I swapped this EDF unit out of my F22 for a higher performance version so this one needed a home. Can’t have one of these big EDFs just sitting around doing nothing.

Nice bird! Is the 4 blade prop on your model a working prop or for display? If it's a work prop, who makes it? A friend of mine is looking for a 3 blade for a G-62 powered Corsair, and I not finding much positive info about multi blades for engines that big. I would love to find a scale looking 4 blade for my big P-51's. And in keeping with the thread topic, I am finishing up on a GP 82" Ryan STA Arf with Saito .120 dual plug Gold head motor. I found the receipt in the Saito box where I had sent it in for refurb to Horizon in 2008, so I bought them before that! Ha! I have added a pilot, on board glow, nav & landing lights. I am expecting to be a real pleasure to fly, with great scale characteristics, but will also get up & go with the .120. Great thread. 63” Waco ymf biplane made by Phoenix.
Going with my usual, electric. 6s, Upgrades are: Dubro wheels, just ordered some 3.25” diameter wheels as the 3.5” ones are going to be too wide. Hi tec metal gear servos spectrum 637 receiver 100 Amp ESC Spectrum motor that is a rebranded Rimfire .80 I might have to repaint the supplied pilot figures, they’re a little sloppy with how the factory painted them. |

The 4 blade is a working wood prop from ZYHobby. However it is only on at this point for display since I have no clue what size if any a DLE20cc engine can swing. I do have a wide variety of sizes and pitches I plan to try at some point once I have this flying but until then it will be using a 2 blade 16 x 8 most likely. ZYHobby is on EBay, Amazon, Alibaba, and their own site. All ships from China of course. I have a smaller 71 inch Phoenix Model Ryan STA powered 20cc electric (way overpowered ) and it is amazing. I haven’t built a non-Star Wars model in quite some time, so I decided to take on a helicopter. Takom AH-64E Guardian Apache. 1/35 scale. I’m planning on a moderately weathered bird. Hey! I finally saw the big ZY Hobby banner on prop and looked them up. There are a few products I will buy from China, but 4 blade props for large scale models won't be one of them. Your Ryan looks great. I am doing final assy of my Ryan to complete the CG check. I should get to fly it in the next few weeks. I can't wait! @ScottsGT I had forgotten about the Byron's reduction system. I suppose they had fallen off the earth before I got into giant scale. I fly my giant GP G-45 powered P-51 with 2 blade, too. What image host is good these days. I haven't looked for one since tiny pic went tango uniform. I'll post up picks when I can. Lastly, Do you guys make it down to the Joe Noll? I haven't been in a few years, but I am wanting to go this year. Later! John |

Use to go to Joe Nall all the time when it was in Pat Hartness’ back yard. The guy that was in charge of my old clubs field moved to Greenville and maintained Pats property. Loved the huge BBQ cookout he had at his home. Those were good times.
I use Imageshack for pic hosting. Byron Originals had some nice stuff. When Byron sold it all off I guess the new owners didn’t have the same business skills and it died off. |

With retracts installed, apparent build & finish quality, at that price, and working gear doors? Wow! And in looking at the depth of their product line, it certainly lends a lot of credence to their props. Think on this, I will. That's a great looking P-51. But aren't they all? Alright next up is the Old Crow P-51 and the Bladed 330s. Heli is ready to maiden. I had not planned on building this P-51 yet but I have spent the last 3 days reorganizing my bonus room were we were storing a lot of my recently deceased son’s furniture and belongings as well as my huge home gym/ squat rack, tons of Mountain House cans, and about 70 of my RC planes. About 20 of those are big planes and still in the box. I have two of these P51s and there was simply no good place to store this one last box.
