Been following along since he very first posted about his medical issues as they were happening. For a guy I never met, this is so very sad to hear.

RIP Mark, you touched a lot of lives, both 4 legged and 2.

I don't know what to say.
I feel for his family and friends (2 legged and 4).

RIP Brother.

Sitting here with a dog I rescued 10 years ago, he's dying from a possible brain tumor.
Probably have to put him down this week or next.

Take care of him in heaven Mark.

All the dogs were placed/rescued.

Damn, I thought he was going to beat this. Guess Covid on top of everything else was just too much. Going to go pet the good girl I got from him last November.

Kentucky. He might have originally been from Alabama, though.

Very sad.  Didn't know him but know he did a lot for dogs.

What happened?  I haven't been posting much lately but did a search and saw a thread back in April where he was apparently ill and the possibility of a fundraiser but didn't see anything else till this.  I thought he was fairly young (may be wrong on that)

RIP Joker1

Prayers for his family and for the dogs still waiting for a Joker1 to come along.  He will be missed.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

I was very fortunate to adopt Luna and meet Mark in person in April of this year. I drove 1200 miles/18 hours and met Mark and Luna at a small park near his home. In spending just an hour in that park, I could sure feel how much he cared for all of his dogs.

It is a honor to have met Mark in person, after only knowing him through his posts here. I missed out on several of the dogs that he had for adoption over the years, but feel very fortunate to have Luna. She gets plenty of Freedom Fries and will always be spoiled to the fullest on our adventures. Thank you Mark for entrusting me with Luna when I needed her the most. Semper Fi Dog Rescue!

Well shit that news sucks.

I had the good fortune to meet Mark when I adopted Karmen late last year. He was a good dude and the world just got a little darker for both beast and man.

My heart is broken….

RIP Joker/Mark.

I saved his last voice mail, before they put him in a coma…. I doubt I will delete it. DH had a heart attack a week later… & I’ve saved his “I love you” message too….  This is exactly heart breaking……
