After making a report to the Killeen PD and FBI, I was (within three hours!) contacted by the Associated Press. In the past, when I have been contacted the media, I have refused to comment. However, on this issue, I sent the following information:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I have a policy that no one in my organization has to sell a firearm to anyone with which they feel uncomfortable. On Sunday 3 July, Naser Abdo entered our Quantico Tactical store in Oak Grove, KY (outside Ft Campbell). He was acting very erratically and asking all sorts of suspicious questions. He left our store, came back later the same day and attempted to purchase a pistol. The team member on duty refused to sell him a pistol. The transaction never reached the NICS background check stage. The person became agitated and was asked to leave the store. Due to the very, very suspicious behavior exhibited by Naser, the Quantico Tactical team members notified the Ft Campbell Provost Martial's Office of the attempted purchase on the same day (3 July). The Provost Martial office took the issue very seriously, as both the Army CID and the Oak Grove Police Department promptly sent personnel to our store to investigate the incident. I am very proud of our team member's performance in this issue. I have no other comments. David Hensley President, Quantico Tactical Major, US Marine Corps (Ret) |

Thank you and your employee for your good judgement. I just wish the government would use the same good judgement.

Impossible. My friends at the Democratic underground assured me that gun stores literally hand out guns to everyone. Especially ones run by former baby killers such as yourself.

KILLEEN, Texas (AP) — An AWOL soldier who had weapons stashed in a motel room near Fort Hood has admitted planning an attack on the Texas post, where 13 people died in 2009 in the worst mass shooting ever on a U.S. military installation, the Army said in an alert issued Thursday. Pfc. Naser Abdo, a 21-year-old soldier granted conscientious objector status this year after he said his Muslim beliefs prevented him from fighting, was arrested Wednesday. Agents found firearms and "items that could be identified as bomb-making components, including gunpowder," in his motel room, according to FBI spokesman Erik Vasys. The Army alert sent via email and obtained by The Associated Press says Killeen police arrested Abdo after a tip from the owners of a gun shop and that he "was in possession of a large quantity of ammunition, weapons and a bomb inside a backpack." Upon questioning, the alert says, he admitted planning an attack on Fort Hood. Officials have not offered details about Abdo's possible intentions. The infantry soldier from Fort Campbell, Ky., whose hometown is Garland, Texas, applied for conscientious objector status last year. A military review board recommended this spring that he be separated from the Army. |

Good on ya!
Seems he got caught by virtue of the same gunstore in Killeen where that other murderin' cocksucker bought his 5.7 ammo. |

wow crazy to read this thread just now, I was listening to this story on the way home. The radio had it a littledifferent.
The setup was that he was buying ammo, some magazines, and six pounds of smokeless powder but asked the cashier 'what smokeless powder was' and that was the tip off ––- any truth? ETA: saw the other article, guess its just a matter of details Either way, great job! |
