Tahoe.

Yup. It's low key, has the power to pull the weight, and would be available in 4WD.

Don't think that you will be able to do much more than roll down a dirt road in an up armored Tahoe.. 4x4 is practically useless in something like that...

Fine, so it's heavy.  But how would it be less useful than 2WD?

I'd take a Hilux, too.

Well this one is the closest to what my current daily driver looks like so that's what I would need.

Alpine Armoring

Click on the vehicle make and model you want to look at, then click on the after armoring tab to see what it looks like fully armored.

Imagine the owner of a company that up-armors vehicles will give you, free to use for 3 years, any of the vehicles on the website I've linked to, with a few stipulations.

1. You must make the armored vehicle your daily driver and whenever you travel within 100 miles of home you must drive the vehicle.

2. You pay for all fluids that go into vehicle, but everything else is covered.

3. You can make no money off the vehicle in any way you do not use your current vehicle.

While I think it'd be awsome to drive the Rolls Royce, I think I'd take the Denali or S550.There are tons of interior pics of the Denali on the website.

Would you drive an armored vehicle for a few years if given the chance or would you pass?

The Yukon is my choice as well.

The Audi A8.

From that website, if the 7 series comes in the X-Drive I would take that, otherwise the A8.  High plains winters and RWD cars do not go together in a daily driver.

Give me the A8

I can put about 25k per year on it as my DD.  Everything from traffic to high speed cruise. Graded dirt to interstates.  As long as they cover the wear items like brakes & tires I would be happy to put oil & gas in it.  If they want a long term test over a wide range of driving, I can provide that.

Sounds like a sweet deal - where do I sign up?

Seriously, for most urban operations and many MCOs (as long as I had arty/MLRS) I'd take a killdozer over a tank.

Yeah but they list the final weight as 5100 lbs. So I'd want more power (even though the V-6 is pretty decent).   Wonder if you could shoehorn a Lexus V-8 into it?

DKprof, you're the first one to say you'd go with the Phantom. I'm suprised it took that long for someone to claim it.

I wonder what it would cost to get something that doesn't look like it belongs on the Road Warrior set and can stand .50 AP if it's even possible
