Great show and I watched it mainly for the featured "gun of the week." Unfortunately too many politicians in DC and sheeple in general took the guns and their use as gospel in the real world.

Finished it on Netflix a month ago great show. Was a baby when it was on tv originally. Loved seeing some of the stars of today when they first started out.
|
|
It was trendy and had some good music for it's time. Brings back some memories for sure.

God I loved that show. Out where the Buses don't run was some of thr best TV ever.

I was a kid when it was on. Dad would let me watch it if Mom was gone and I loved it. I watch them now, and its still great TV. And I love the 80's cars, guns, music and clothes.

And GTA Vice City was an awesome revisit to the Miami Vice universe.

All the cool kids have one. For at least the first two seasons, save for the Browning in the pilot. |

I used to watch it as a kid. Then I saw it on the Centric channel and started to relive my youth (they also have the A-Team and only have these shows because a black guy is a main or supporting character - no joke). My brother and his wife bought me the 5 season DVD set after they heard me constantly make references to Miami Vice to their son.

Huge fan of Michael Mann's directorial style. What a great series. Manhunter (prequel to Silence of the Lambs from 1986) is classic Michael Mann and shouldn't be missed.

Hands down, best episode and hardest to license (why, I have no idea - Hulu didn't have it forever, and then only had it for a short time). |

Last of the Mohicans. Heat. The Kingdom. I challenge anyone to find someone better at matching music and imagery to evoke an specific emotional response. The man is a complete master. |

Watching it with my dad is one of my fondest childhood memories. I have the entire series on DVD in a white, faux alligator skin box.

This is one hell of a night. An epic thread on heat and now this. This is Mann night baby!
Crockett and Tubbs are my childhood heroes |

I have no idea what the issue is, but its hard to get that episode. Hulu only had it for about 1 month, even youtube clips are hard to find. I can never listen to Peter Gabriel's "Biko" without thinking of the ending scene. |

... complete with the gratuitous Hollywood slide-wrack post two-shot semi-auto firing |
|
the show had even some of the big names in firearms on it to name one was Richard Heine

There's something about Miami that draws me in. I am determined to get back there some day.
The show for me is about the city, the life and the wonderful 80's style. Gina what a babe.. |

Nope only episode I haven't seen From what I've read, "Evan" is considered to be one of the two best episodes of the entire series. I'm guessing they were never able to reach a deal with regard to the licensing and distribution for it. It's a shame, because it's damn good television.

I liked the way they cut to slo mo when the guns came out.
My favorite episode was the one with Ted Nugent |

Definitely Miami - whenever I watch that one I actually think I can feel the sweltering heat of south FL. Great directing, cinematography - a show ahead of its time (other than the clothes, they defined the time) |

My personal favorite episode is Glades, mainly because of "Maybe you won't even twitch...." There are a lot of episodes tied for second place, though. |

Glades is awesome. I also loved Lombard. The scene at night on the sail boat when he and Crockett have a heart-to-heart sticks in my mind.

Oh yeah I loved that show. Where is a good source to get all the seasons on DVD?
