That's what SHE said.
I just picked it up last week, it's pretty cherry. The loading gate doesn't even have any wear on it. Shoots nicely.

Now that's funny.

I owned a 69 Mach 1 .   If I babied the car it stayed broke down.  But when I ran the dog crap out of it.........well it was at  it's happiest.  and mine too.

Looks like a survivor car or a very old restoration.

I like it... Looks like an honest, usable old Shelby. Not a garage queen.

hope you don't have any brothers

Bought and restored in the mid 80s. My earliest memory of it is crawling around in it pulling change and plastic railroad tracks from between and under the seats during the initial clean up. It's pretty close to bone stock, the engine has been rebuilt to run on today's crappy fuel, and the torque converter has been changed out, that's about it. Interior is all original, and looks real good. Dad likes to take it to work every now and then, and Costco . It was bought to restore and make a quick profit, but Dad just never quiet felt it was the right time, or that he needed the money that badly.

I drove it for the first time when I was home for the week in college. It had been having intermittent starting trouble, and I had learned some garage mechanic skills working on my Dodge Ramcharger, so I volunteered to try to figure it out. Turned out to be a bad ground to the block. Dad tossed me back the keys when I proudly told him I fixed it, and let me take it for a spin. Since then, I've had pretty free hand when the weather is nice and the roads aren't abnormally full of idiots to take it out around town.

He's only put 11k miles on it in almost 30 years. Two brothers, both younger than me. We're planning to have some sort of a grand melee for possession of the car. The bad news is they're both bigger than me now, the good news is I'm the only one who's armed regularly. We've already got plenty of offers from strangers, family, and friends to save us the horrors of the grand melee by taking the car for themselves, so no need for you guys to offer.

I'll try to snap some additional pictures of it today before I head home, including some under the hood shots.

Nice!

Brings back memories of my red 68 Fastback.  Lost my virginity in that fold-down back seat area.

A real paradise by the dashboard lights memory.

Those days, my biggest problems were tangled 8-track tapes.
