THE ricochet angle? Just about the only angle where rounds DON'T ricochet off water is straight down.

MAYBE 1/3 of the rounds you shot went in to the ground or that berm. The rest went clear over. Thank you for being responsible for them.

Here. Here's a nice little video to show you where your rounds go when dirt water-shooting.

Shooting into water at an angle is fucking STUPID.

Why is this so stupid? Are you referring to the ricochet angle? If so what is that angle?

Any reason this one wouldn't be any good?

That's the one you want. Mac 10s are built like tanks, and having the 9mm barrel already installed is even better. Makes those mag dumps a bit easier on the wallet.

Lage has uppers for Mac 10s as well, but be prepared to be on a long waiting list.

Not in the least little bit. At all. Surface tension.

Load whatever firearm you like up with tracers, and shoot them at a puddle. You will be absolutely astounded at where they go. (Make sure there is nothing you'd mind destroying for miles around in about a 180 degree field of forward view)

You both are denying this because you don't want to believe that shooting water is much the same as hip firing in to the air while dancing, somewhat resembling methods of middle eastern celebration.

I posted a video showing what happens. Where's your evidence of the contrary?

Well as for the "shoot off" with the gun bunny model...they backed out.

As for the dragons breath....I've explained that enough but yes it was a bad choice to shoot it that day right before we were leaving.

Tracers don't really work for showing ricochets since the tracer filament often separates from the projectile on impact.

The trace filling can separate, but will not travel more than 50'.   It only weighs a few grains.

Rifle vs pistol rounds, you do know the difference don't you?

I'll also add that a 9mm projectile would LIKELY never fly further than 150 to 200 yards after ricochet.  It certainly wouldn't travel for miles......

You ever use Wolf or Tula ?

they like to spark even on sand and dirt
any dry grass where your empties fall?
I am always amused at all the people that state they always CCW at the range in case of the 1 in 10,000,000 chance of running into someone like Platt and Mattix ( google it )
but virtually no one carries a small fire extinguisher for the 1 in 100 okay many be even 1 in 1000 chance of starting a fire , or being someplace that someone else starts one
I have put out a dozen or so fires out in public  over the years , but haven't had to shoot anyone yet
But hey no big deal I am sure if some sheriff/neighbor/lawyer/politician has a problem with the range or the ability to shoot out in the country

I am sure videos such as your will never ever get shown on the news/at court hearings/at legislative sessions

Your nice gansta looking logo will help too
For a real test you need to bumpfire a magazine of tracers into the water puddle , be great video

If your range gets closed down oh well no biggie you got your $50 via views from 12 year old call of duty players
Most YouTube "experts" and "scientists" are a scourge and a black-eye on the shooting community
I am sure you will reply so you can keep this thread bumped and the views keep flowing , since the only posts you ever make here are ones trying to pimp your videos

Actually we do carry fire extinguishers and we had two that day we shot the dragons breath. I placed the target close so if it started a fire we could quickly put it out. As I stated in the video I did not expect it to ricochet all the way to the berm. I shot it...nothing happens as we all watched it. Then about 10 seconds later is when my friends wife. the hot brunette, said "uh guys...look!" When we turned around the berm was on fire. We used the two extinguishers on the left side of the berm and it burned itself out shortly after.

I'm not replying to "bump" this thread I just respond to the comments accordingly. I haven't profited from my videos yet because my channel isn't big enough. The dragons breath video has the most views.

But I don't think I'm doing the "gun community" a disservice. I do have other videos. You can judge me by my mistake though seeing as I'm not afraid to show them.

I think that's the biggest issue. You're finding things that you did not expect. Most people could have told you to expect this sort of thing.

Then, you post said footage online. Internet sees it. Thinks all firearm owners don't think things through, do things patently unsafe, etc.

I don't think anyone is giving you crap for the fun of it, and I don't think any of it is meant to be malicious. We're voicing legitimate concerns.

All concerns have been noted. Its lime when I first started I never used eye pro because I never used any in the 12years I was in the Army. I just wasn't used to it but now I'm in the habit of using eye pro.

The trace filling can separate, but will not travel more than 50'.   It only weighs a few grains.

Rifle vs pistol rounds, you do know the difference don't you?

HUGE diff from what OP did and that video. Almost apples to oranges.

Tracers don't really work for showing ricochets since the tracer filament often separates from the projectile on impact.

And if the filament detaches you have no way of knowing where the bullet goes, regardless of the calibre.

There are those new tracers that doesn't. It works like those glow in the dark stars that kids put up on their ceilings. The flash of the explosion "charges" the end so it glows as it travels out and to the target. Its very dim and you need to be the shooter or close to his POV to see it. I don't think that kind detaches.
