They seem like a great deal compared to the utility vehicles.  Of course not for fun but for standard farm type work.  Found a 07 with 15k km but its 2 wheel drive.  Less to break but how bad would it be in the pasture settings.  Let me have it!

When he didn't need the capacity of a larger truck my dad used a 2wd ranger with a 4cy around the farm for quite a few years. It worked just fine as long as it was dry, in the mud or deep snow the truck was pretty much worthless. He hauled bales of hay, bags of seed, a 125gal fuel tank, and towed empty wagons from farm to farm.

thought about one, but no 4wd killed it. The right hand drive would take some getting used to as well. THe ones we had in Iraq/Qatar all had left hand drive.

My grandfather had a little car made by subaru, looks like it was made to be a golf cart, no doors, convertible top, but it had lights and street legal tags.

It was beat to hell, but he had it fixed up decent. He drove it to check on his cows, out to the tractor, just wherever he needed to go on the farm. He still used his truck, but this was just for running around and doing odd stuff.

I would get one, but their too dang expensive.  4wd is available.  Rather get a Ute.

Neighbor has one, parts are kind of hard to get.

I've been thinking about a kei truck too. We've had great luck with Arctic Cat, but now I need a new farm vehicle. I'm hoping that an actual owner will chime in with some advice.

They are pretty neat but kind of expensive at 5k plus. I would buy a 4wd jeep or small s 10 for around the farm.

For fun, pick a guy up a the PAX terminal and make him ride in back. When you hit speed bumps, it launches whatever is in the cargo bed.

didn't we just have this thread last week? I thought the consensus was to get an atv or similar as parts are hard to come by.

i've been looking for a suzuki carry or a steyr haflinger for quite some time now. they are similar in size, but very different in application; with the kei trucks being like a little truck, whereas the haflinger being more tractor-like.

the plan is to pick one up and toss it on some tracks. i'll be using it to haul.

i haven't found one that i want to pay for yet.

I found with mine they are an ok utility vehicle and a crappy street vehicle. I sold mine and got a polaris ranger.

When I was stationed in England, we had Sherpa trucks.  One day we threw a small load of sandbags into one, and the truck wouldn't budge. We got out to look, and the bed was sitting on top of the tires.  What a POS.

I looked at one. Pretty cool, but the cab was too small. I'm 6'2" and my knees were against the dash, so it was a no go.
