He's got the right idea, going up and spending a lengthy amount of time in the places. Unfortunately, the execution was lacking, since they only supposedly spent one night. |

Like you say...it might exist, or not. The problem is the absolute crap bullshit that Stroud just validated with his presence. Lots of folks admire, and trust the guy. When he says things like "DNA studies have proven there's an unknown hominid in North America"....and that's a total bullshit item, well.....so much for anyone that has half a brain trusting him again. Survivorman is good TV. Stroud the amateur primatologist....not so much. At all. I'm waiting for the next show in the series where he'll join half a dozen guys straight out of Deliverance in the search for the swamp ape. |

I didn't watch any more than the first 15 minutes, hit the recorder and went to bed. Did they go into those images anymore that just showing those couple of clips? If those are both "bigfoot" then it looks like two entirely different species, unless it's something like comparing weiner dogs to pit bulls. He commented that he'll leave it up to the viewer to make conclusions. Judging from some of his other comments, I don't think Les believes in much of Standings's "evidence". |

I'm not watching. I've thoroughly enjoyed the regular Survivorman shows as about the best compromise out there between the reality of survival and the entertainment of survival. I'm not sure why Les is doing Bigfoot show. Maybe he's a believer, maybe he needs the money, maybe some of both. But for me at least, this show is Les jumping the shark.

Just watched it and its really scant on data - Something I was hoping that was going to be different about this show - A guy living close in the wild could turn up Better evidence than previously gathered, But we have less than any before. No quality vocal recordings, No physical evidence, no new pics, no casts aith evaluation of ridges, etc. Just deep hearted narrative by Les which makes for good entertainment, but no progress as hoped.
ETA - Todd Standing is full retard mode in the show " I turned around and saw the 5 year old squatch" Really?? 5 years you say??? - Did he have a Freaking Birthday cake on hom saying happy 5th? WTF? He thinks he knows the species well enough to age them like that

I found it interesting. I would assume that even a guy like Les could get in the mood when he heard noises if he was in the mindset that he was looking for the creature. I wouldn't say he did anything to make himself look foolish.
I am a partial believe in the creature, would like proof, but don't dismiss the thing and call everyone an idiot. |

Your right however, consider the fossil record is really not conducive to even being possible in most of North America - Certain condtions must exist for their to be a fossil. Also consider, that there is a huge gap in the known fossil record, commonly referred to as the missing link to explain missing human development. you could also consider that neandertalls have been likely errantly drawn as humans, as their skulls were more ape like in detail and there is a reboot that they were more apelike and didn't really use fire.

Good Points, but consider:
After hundreds of years of rumors of the giant white and black Panda bear that fancifully was rumored to eat vegetation nobody believed it until a French anthropolgist found a skin at a market. After only 60 years of paid expeditions and a bounty did they find the elusive giant panda - it lived where no other bear did after all bears ate meat not bamboo! 60 years and they knew it was real and put serious effort into it. So I am skeptical but also skeptical of the status quo of everything is known. I do get tired of the lack of real scientific and strategic attempts to gather evidence, its as if they really don't want to try. I can't see the government covering it up, IF anything the current government would love an excuse for us not to go out and shoot or hunt or fish anymore. I do get tired of the lack of real scientific and strategic attempts to gather evidence, its as if they really don't want to try. I can't see the government covering it up, IF anything the current government would love an excuse for us not to go out and shoot or hunt or fish anymore. Really? I have to drive +1000 miles, THEN you'll show me proof of a BF? Hello? Why not just go out and take a good video and send it to me. Duh. - BF believer can show a clear video of a brand new species of monkey all the way out in the wilds of the Congo, but can't show a decent picture - much less a video - of a BF apparently that's almost in his own back yard (if you believe the BS they're peddling here). Believe in BF? Great, have fun, enjoy it - I have no problems with it. Same with BF stories, love to hear them; heard them all the time up in Seattle in the '80's. Make fantastical and totally unsubstantiated claims about BF, don't be surprised when you get called on your BULLSHIT! If it took that long, I'm guessing their Internet was down and their game trail cameras and thermal equipment were malfunctioning
