A former NYPD lieutenant is now working as actress Emma Watson’s personal bodyguard.
“She likes it a lot. It’s a good job, a big change,” a pal of ex-cop Denise Morrone, who retired from Staten Island’s 122nd Precinct, told The Post Sunday. Watson, whose new movie, “Noah,” hits theaters Friday, is paying the ex-Finest nearly $150,000 a year to be her bodyguard, according to Britain’s Daily Mail. The 23-year-old actress is believed to be worth nearly $38 million. “The one person Emma is never without is Denise,” a source told the Mail. “She pays for her bodyguard out of her own pocket, and Denise accompanies her everywhere, even when Emma is out for dinner. We had duty raincoats that had a slit cut in the sides to access your gun, it's possible her bodyguard had the same modification to her graduation gown. It's even easier to get access to your gun when it's not on a duty belt in those situations. They used to do the same thing with duster coats a long time ago, which is the design the raincoats were based on. Easy way to get quick access to your gun while wearing a long overgarment. ETA: I think it was a good call on her security team's part, helps the security blend in the background, also doesn't distract as much from the graduation ceremony for the other graduates. |
