Expectations are for a Q2 of +3%.

Q1 showed -2.9%, which was blamed on the Polar Vortex/Shermans March II.

Yep... This sounds reasonable. Fabricate a number that looks decent and the. When nobody is paying attention anymore revise it to a number that is closer to realistic.

I think Q1 was revised lower in order to be able to call Q2 positive.
Hell, they might revise Q1 to -4% and call Q2 +0.1% to avoid a recession.

The number is meaningless...all it does is cause the markets to jump if it is good news and to sell if it is bad. They will revise it in 3 months anyway, just like the always do. The real numbers to watch are the unemployment rate and the "stopped looking for work" rate, i.e. the real unemployment number.
