Whether T Shirt or button down it depends on the cut of the shirt. Some are made for tucking in and some aren't. So, it depends on where I am going and how casual I can be.

My shirts are always out.  It prevents hippy meltdown and me from having to be braced by some lawdog.

My only button up shirts are plaid, and those look fucking stupid tucked in. Solid colored button ups, always tuck. Looks better that way.

Who the hell tucks in a t-shirt?

It's not that you don't tuck in T shirts, it's that you don't tuck in T shirts or anything in to jeans.

eta: The above still looks awful. Fit or not. It's never ok.

No, I don't tuck my t-shirts.

If you tuck your t-shirts, you probably tuck your pecker, too.

Yes and no op. As part of my ccw dressing, I have some sort of tshirt that is always tucked in and some sort of outer button down short that is NOT tucked in and will not be buttoned either. That way my ccw is both concealed, yet easy to get to.

Yeah you're a slob.
I don't tuck anything but undershirts if I'm not in a suit/uniform. I don't give a shit.
I rarely shave, I don't see the relation.
And yes I'm posting from work, but it's not company time, it's the taxpayer's time worse still right?

I never tuck my shirts.

But then again I pretty much wear jeans or Dickies and t-shirts.

If I'm not wearing a tie/jacket I always go untucked.

even t-shirts with shorts or workout shorts?

Nver tuck in a t-shirt.  Nothing screams "I'm old and dorky" like a tucked in t-shirt.

Polos should be tucked in if worn to work with slacks, untucked if with jeans.

I really believe this is one of those generational things that I can't seem to come to grips with.  I'm 50, I came of age in the 80's and having my shirt tail untucked truly does make me feel like a slob.  I'm not the "fat shaming" type, but in my opinion, it's typically fat guys who leave their shirts untucked, thinking it hides their gut and they look like slobs.  lol

I voted yes, but only for button ups. T-shirts I leave untucked.

I tuck neither all of my button shirts have flat bottoms and aren't intended to be tucked in like a dress shirt. I get eye rolls every time I mention this ( from women usually, maybe not on here) but I need my shirt untucked to cover my Glock 26.

Am I a slob for not tucking??

Depends on the occasion, but I recently learned that a huge chunk of arfcom doesn't dress themselves so it might be hard to get feedback from people who haven't asked their wives first.

This. But not all button up shirts are made to be worn tucked in. This is the only acceptation where I leave a button up untucked.

I dunno.  High socks and sneakers are pretty far up the "old and dorky" list.

I always wear an undershirt.  This gets tucked in to prevent my IWB CCW from rubbing.

Outside shirt is never tucked unless I'm at work

Depends on the the outfit.  Khaki pants and Polo: Yes
Jeans and a Tee: No
Jeans and a Polo: NO
Jeans and a button up :Yes
Shorts(cargo type) and anything: No and usually Tommy Bahamas shirts are not make to tuck in any way

depends on the formality of the situation.  in professional environments, i dress professionally.  that means tucking in, whether dress shirt or polo/golf-type.  basically, wearing slacks means tucking in my shirt--the two go hand in hand.  for most informal situations, i go untucked for comfort and concealment.

I used to in the 80's and 90's but tucking is out of style now unless you are trying to show off your skinny jeans.
