From 2007 until 2012, only two men won the CPAC straw poll.

Mitt Romney and Ron Paul.

So what does it tell us, exactly?

Not a damn thing, which is exactly what I was going to point out.

Wake me up when it's time for primaries.

So what's your dream team (of the current GOP hopefuls) to BEAT the Dems? Either you are in it to win it or not. Simply put a RINO won't win and wishing it was different will not make it so.

At this point I'm more than willing to support a Rand Paul run over the RINOs currently looking to run.

Looking how the GOP moneyed class have done very well under Obama I'd bet they would support the likes of Jeb Bush (or another RINO) just to keep things the way they are.....Split government.

The Dems are right about one thing, the 1% does a sterling job of looking after themselves and doing what's in their best interest even under the cover of donating to the GOP. In the end it's chump change to them and a investment for access no matter who wins. Their supported RINO don't win.....That's OK they will still have access to a Senator or Congressman that have donation dollar signs in their mind.

Yong Rand Paul on a bicycle with Ron Paul.

Even his picture--in his young days--reeks of FREEDOM.

Rand Paul

He looks like he has one of those one-ear earphones on that were the style in the AM transistor radio days.

So over the last 10 years, it has either been Romney or a Paul.  Hmmmmmmm.

IMO, Republicans need to run a true conservative (race and gender does not matter), that is the only way to beat the Dims!

A Walker/Rand Ticket would be interesting.

Walker has the credibility, Rand will get them worked up.

Walker has been an avid "foot out of mouther", Rand is more like Biden in that regard.

Florina is a solid woman running mate, I liked her speach & what she says are her core values & leadership capabilities.

Maybe Walker/Florina FTW...

Bush is a Rhino like all the other Bush's. Their G-Father was a nazi supporter so screw those A-holes. But the esatablishment is already throwing money at them like it's water & they are on fire even though his policies will destroy him in the long run. People want solid leadership to reverse the BS the last 6yrs have brought & what is to come. He will not do a damn thing & if it is him there will undoubtedly be a D house & senate to give him the phalus.

That is a primary reason I like Walker more... but BOTH political parties tend to ignore important experience in choosing their candidates.

Last time the undisputed most experienced candidate was Gary Johnson, and we see how that went.

McConnell Endorses Trey Grayson over Rand Paul

"I rarely endorse in primaries, but these are critical times," McConnell says in an ad for Grayson

Thank you for posting this as it was my first question.

CPAC Straw Poll = Doesn't amount to  crap for the most part.

Jeb Bush @ 5. You have got to be shitting me-he should run as Hiliary's VP choice.  Carley did better than expected.  Ben Carson......no for so many reasons.

ETA: thoughts on Jeb Bush.

Anyone of the top three would work for me.
