10 rounds is nice.
The slimness counts for more than the length, but from what I've read it sounds like it's about the same in length as a Glock 26. My wife is excited about it and I think I might get one for those summer carry or when I'm dressed up and want something real low profile. |
|
Until I see a real mag and pistol I call
I bet they are selling Glock carbine mags too. |
|
Single stack + 10 rounds = "full=size" frame....
This ad is probably bullshit. |
|
|
|
The Glock 26 magazine is 10 rounds and is double stack. This doesn't seem right.
|
|
Is it just me or is it even harder to believe a California gun company would get the mags before anyone else and know about the Glock single stack 9 before anyone else....
Troll thread? |

If this is real (I want to believe!), then I'm in.
I was afraid this was going to be another 6-7 round micro 9mm. There is the chance that this 10 round mag is for the full size, and the G44 will be the single-stack compact. |

I'm hoping the G43 turns out to be a single stack with a G17-length frame, slimmed down and mated with a G26 slide.... fucking hilarious. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Why would they make a skinnier Glock 19 intead of a skinnier glock 26?
|
|
LoL, watch the G43 turn out to be a single stack with a grip as long as a G17.
Eta: beat |

The G26 is a double-stacked, 10 rounder. There's no way the G43 could be a single-stack, 10 rounder and still be the same height as but slimmer than the G26...unless Glock's been doing some sort of black magic...

Height of the gun determines concealability more than thickness, at least it does for me. I can conceal my G26 better than my Shield. I really hope this new Glock is not a single stack that carries 10 rounds in the mag. If it is, it's gonna be waaaaaay too big a gun for CCW. I wouldn't put it past Glock to fuck it up like that, though. |

I want to believe. I also would like it to be Ca legal.
I'm not holding my breath. Prepared to buy a Kahr when this blows over. My money is on a single stack released as a .356 GAP. |

Hmmn - so ten rounds in a single stack tells me it is not going to really be the same size as the 42, and therefore not really a pocket pistol. Which in my book is good since I have a G42 as a pocket pistol.
A bigger stack 9mm (ie: a single stack G26) would be great for people who mistakenly think it's hard to conceal a G19 or 23 on your belt. |

Uh they would be the same width, but a modified glock 26 would be in line with the size of competitor's small 9mm single stack pistols that have 7 or 8 rounds View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Ankle carry? I'm asking seriously, not criticizing. |

Why would they make a skinnier Glock 19 intead of a skinnier glock 26? View Quote They didn't. All of the media released so far points to a G42 sized new product. The link in the OP is fucked. A full sized 9mm 1911 mag holds 9 rounds. A G19 sized single stack would hold 8, maybe. The G43 will most likely have a 6 round standard magazine. A 10 round single stack magazine would require a grip length similar to an XDm full size, or a CZ P07 duty; it would be obnoxiously long. |

For most people, it's the height of a handgun as it's the butt of the grip that typically is the first part to print. I can conceal my G26 just fine, but my G19 prints too much. A single-stack G26 is what most people want from Glock this time around. |
