I would also add that a side charging upper would probably be better as I have hit my hand every time with charging handle(I guess I've been messing with AR's for too many years). |

More and more I'm thinking I need to buy one of these rifles.
Might make a nice gun to introduce east coasters to the modern rifle world without scaring them off by being too tactical. Good looking gun, OP! Edit: What stock height did you pick? I can't decide between the two Ares offers. |

Dam OP, out of the numerous builds you've done. This one, is my favorite. I'm guessing because it just looks more different than the usual build posted on here. I'm sure a few will like Medicfrost's version more, not me. It looks like a modern AR take on an M14. Pretty Nice !

This is on my short list.
I plan to move my 18" SPR barrel over to it since I'm going short with my ARs now. I also have a Norinco AK Hunter with a 20" barrel to go along side it...both should be 50 state legal with 5-round mags.
