I'd save the money and go with the ALG. My friend has an EMR, and it's a nice rail.
You could always put the extra $$$ in to optics, ammo, or a trigger. ETA: If money is not an issue, then I would go with the Mk8, because I think they're bad ass. (Money is always an issue with me, though.  )
