I still haven't seen a thread for the upcoming season, so here is one.
 READ***SPOILERS***READ The following thread will contain information pulled from every source, up to the most current episode. This will include the Comics, official previews, trailers, etc. If you do not wish to see any spoilers, then I suggest you stay out of this thread. Any and all potential spoilers from future episodes, information from the comics further down the road, or leaked information, MUST be put within a spoiler a box. ^Read the rules, #winning I've been a bit annoyed with Walking dead and I'm not very interested in this new season. The writers used such a cop out in that last scene by not showing who Neegan killed. Fuck that, it was supposed to be gruesome, brutal, terrifying, and emotional. Now it's just a season-break gimmick so no one loses interest. Fear the walking dead was a shit show from halfway through the first season. None of the characters are likeable, and worse, they aren't independent from the plot. It's like the writers are saying "We need to have a conflict with Army guys, so the dad is gonna be way more aggressive for no apparent reason" when they should be asking "How would these characters react when put into difficult situations" The whole show seemed cobbled together with so much empty/filler scenes like where the 2 kids go trash that abandoned house. Hardly anything actually happens, and when stuff does happen, it doesn't make sense. Furthermore, what is this story trying to show? How a family survives the zombie apocalypse and is slowly changed into hardened zombie killing warriors? Cause we already have that show in the Walking Dead. I was hoping for a little more to the story than just a transplanted plot with a similar white-collar family. |

Looking forward to this coming back on. Even though I thought they should have shown more of society collapsing, it was a short season and they had to tell a lot of story in 6 episodes. The slow burn was refreshing. Also, seeing the zombie apoc from a surburban/urban POV, it was more fun to watch; as I can relate more to that than to walking about rural woods of the South.
I really hope this season is not the TWD Season 2 on the farm but instead on a boat. |

I am nearly through the first season of FTWD and actually really like it, sure there are some lame gun related things (an over under "racking") but I think the show has potential.

That's a tough question because in TWD, you have what should be some fairly squared away characters (cop, redneck, former military, etc.) who act like idiots...so it's frustrating to see them make mistake after mistake after mistake after... Only ones I've been using were Travis, Gelfling Mom, Barber, Johnny Dope, Soulcrusher Washington and "The Benetton Family" (as a catch-all for the other son, the daughter, the now dead ex, Barber's daughter, etc.). |
