On the Friday broadcast of his radio show, Glenn Beck revealed that he has lost $500,000 campaigning with Ted Cruz , but said that has nothing to do with the recent firing of 40 of his employees.

“We are making the hard choices,” Beck explained. “We’re choosing principles over power. We’re staying true to the Constitution.”

“There’s a story maybe you have read, that came out yesterday, that is talking about how yesterday, my company The Blaze laid off 40 people, and my media empire is crumbling, and part of it is because I’m traveling around with Ted Cruz,” he said, referencing a Daily Beast story.

“Well, I want you to know,” Beck continues. “Yes, I’ve lost a lot of money traveling around with Ted Cruz. I’ve lost about half a million dollars. That’s my choice. I believe in something.”

It's his choice, he believes in it. It's also his money to spend however he wants. He is also free to support whichever candidate he wants.

I wish I had that kind of money to support Cruz.

Cruz is a constitutionalist. Cruz shut-down the government in an effort to try to fix it. Cruz fought to protect the 2nd.

Trump and Hillary, on the other hand both believe that Education, Welfare, and Healthcare are fundable functions of the Federal Government. Trump and Hillary, on the other hand have both openly-stated that they will increase the size and cost of the already-big, already-expensive Federal Government.

Beck might be nuts. But he has stated for a long, long time that hard-line socialists are in *both* parties. Trump proves that Republicans *really* wanted Obama all along. They wanted someone who would promise expensive big-government solutions to all of the problems.

Beck has been saying for a long, long time that Republicans would get wholly behind an Obama with an "R" next to their name.

Beck is simply putting his money where his mouth is.

I am not a fan of Beck. My entire experience with Beck was his Fox show would be on the screens when I worked out. I remember him calling this years and years ago... That is all.

And... I was calling Trump and Hillary hard-line socialists long before I knew Beck was saying the same thing.

I was telling folks that Trump supported Carter against Reagan, Mondale against Reagan, and Hillary and Obama... Long before I found out (on arfcom) that Beck was repeating the same thing.

Beck has been railing against socialism for a very, very long time... At least since his show was on Fox. Now he is putting his money where his mouth is...

The talking-head who has *really* lost their mind this election is Coulter. She is going to have zero credibility when this is all over... For folks who remember him saying that socialism is a threat in both parties, and that a Republican socialist that would be the equivalent of Obama would run, and win... Becks credibility has actually increased...

Trump and Hillary are both hard-line socialists, selling the exact same end-result... And Beck is correct to point it out.

Is that a defense of Trump?

An attack on Beck? An attack on Cruz?

Cruz bucked-hard on *both* parties. Cruz (along with Lee) shut-down the government in an effort to fix the system.

Trump was an insider-lobbyist for years who supported and funded the worst anti-gun liberals in exchange for political payback.

Beck is correct to support Cruz over Trump and Hillary.

For all of Becks faults, he is correct on this one. Trump and Hillary are both categorically and completely evil with no good intentions towards this country and its people.

For all of Becks faults, he is 100% correct in his support of Cruz over Trump and Hillary.

Maybe he is stupid. But he was spot-on years ago when he said that a Republican Obama would run and win "conservative" (quotes used on purpose) votes promising to massively increase Fed taxation for education, welfare, healthcare, and housing... Beck was spot-on years ago, and he is spot-on calling-out Trump and Hillary as socialists.

Years ago, when Obama was first elected, and everyone became scared of socialism... Beck was lauded as a hero by folks on the right for calling Obama a socialist.

Beck was called crazy by the left. Beck was called crazy by Obama supporters.

But... Beck --in addition to calling Obama a socialist-- pointed-out that socialism, social programs, and social spending permeated *both* sides of the isle.

Now that Trump has a platform of increasing Federal spending over-and-beyond Obama's socialist spending... And Beck is pointing-out that he called this years ago...

Folks are calling Beck crazy again. Beck is getting called crazy by Trump supporters.

What is old is new again.

Interesting.

To the liberal supporters of Trumps liberal agenda... Honest question...

How is Trumps promise to exponentially expand the cost and power of the Federal Government any different than Obama's?-?-?-!-!-! Obama was (correctly) called a socialist when he promised to do the same thing that Trump is promising now: expand Federal powers and the cost and expense of the Federal Government. How is Trump promising to exponentially expand the cost and power of the Federal Government different than Obama promising the same thing eight years ago?-!-?-!

My opinion is that Beck is correct to point-out that Trump and Obama and Hillary are all socialists. My opinion is that --crazy or not-- Beck was correct to point-out eight years ago that Obama was a full-on socialist. My opinion is that Beck is correct to point out that Trump and Hillary are both full-on socialists today.

I am curious to read the opinions of the liberal folks who support Trumps liberal agenda... How is Obama a socialist eight years ago, but Trump is or isn't one today... And if you read Trumps promises, he is promising more socialism than Obama...

Trump is promising to expand the cost and size Fed LE in response to deportation and terrorism... That is going to *increase* taxes above and beyond the socialism that Obama promised.

Trump is promising to expand the cost and size of the military... That is going to *increase* taxes above and beyond the socialism that Obama promised.

Trump is promising that he will fund education, welfare, housing, and healthcare as functions of the Fed government... That is going to *increase* taxes, and is exactly the kind of socialism that Obama and Hillary promise.

I am curious to read the opinions of the liberal folks who support Trumps liberal agenda... How is Obama a socialist eight years ago, and Beck correct eight years ago... But trump *isn't* a socialist today for promising the same thing that Obama promised eight years ago???-!!!-???-!!!-???

I guess when you add all of Trumps promises up, I guess --including "single-payer" healthcare-- Trump is a worse socialist than Obama?

Honest question for the liberal supporters of Trumps liberal platform... How is Trumps promise to expand the size and cost of the Federal Government any different than Obama?-?-!-!

Glenn Beck Blames Layoffs on Own Staff

During his radio show Friday, Glenn Beck responded to The Daily Beast’s report that his TheBlaze network had to lay off 40 employees by essentially blaming his own staff for the downfall of his media empire.

“I’m a trusting guy,” he told his listeners. “I think anybody on the show will tell you my biggest problem is I trust everybody.” He continued: “I trusted the people that ran my company that they wanted the same things.” But, alas, he said, those confidants betrayed him: “Even though the managers were all saying the right things to me, those things were never getting done... I didn’t know who really got the vision—who got it and who didn’t.”

These people were my friends, they were my partners,” he lamented, but, “They didn’t love the audience like I did.”

The man did a great job at FNC, rallied conservatives (literally), and added substance to the discussion about the direction our country was headed under FBHO.

That was too much for Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch, and seems like it's too much for GD's elite intelligentsia here.  Glad you're all in agreement.

Interpretation: they were telling me things I didn't want to hear about why my listeners were fleeing.
