Not me, but a guy I work with from Italy went there on holiday once and I think they loved it. I also talk to people there with my ham radio while they're on holiday.

Been to Bali... The hardcore divers I met along the way said the Maldives were n their top three best places. Never been but for 8-9 hundred I'd get real serious about making it happen. Where are you finding that deal?

No, but I stayed at a Motel Garcia - more than once.
I hear that these days the Maldives are very nice and affordable. |

I, as stated, have never been there but It is a country that is tiny and values their tourism dollars greatly because as far as I know that is about all they have. While yes, they are jacked up with some sharia law, I wouldn't put Maldives in the same category as someplace like Iran. |

I guess tge likelyhood of ISIS pirate ships attacking the Maldives would be low.
So are the islands all small and only have like one hotel on each? Are you pretty much stuck on one island of your choosing and eating at the same place? |
