The third option is to ignore the argument and hope it goes away. Doesn't work either. |

It's amazing to me that people assume that everyone was stupid before advanced technology took over the world.

Knowing Trib was her fate, Central African Republic sent out drones to all corners of the Earth. On board were the Twelve: The TV, the crossbowman, The beast system, Gutenberg, The magician and the other so-called Gods of our legends. Though Gods they were - And as the elders of our time choose to remain blind Let us rejoice And let us sing And dance and ring in the new, Hail Dinosaurs! Way down in the coal mine where I wanna be, it may be. Way down in the coal mine where I wanna be, it may be. Way down in the coal mine where I wanna be, it may be. Way down in the coal mine where I wanna be, it may be. Difference between now and then is one good virus outbreak won't kill an entire village and years of research down the drain never to be found again or hidden for XXXX years I should say. Pretty crazy to think about, some guy could have invented time travel 2000 years ago, then comes an outbreak in his village and boom, dead before he hops in his DeLorean. Buried 200 feet below. |

I hate the run-on sentence editing, especially when he changes subjects. Needs a pause so you can catch your breath and focus on the next thing to come. |

And unto this, Conan, destined to wear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I, his chronicler, who alone can tell thee of his saga. The refusal of the owners to have it independently tested leaves me cold. |

Most of Mans' history on Earth has been lost and forgotten.
Much more, and more ancient than written of in The Bible. I have a keen interest in antediluvian history. |

Kind of common wherever you have lots of mortar ... like around city buildings. Just drive on a road that crosses under the Blue Ridge Parkway and you'll see similar stalactites hanging off of the stonework. |

Seriously, I've often wondered about whether there was high technology long ago and it was lost somehow. dikfer is a common expression here when someone asks what something is. These are a little out there, so obviously alien. The loss of technology even in very recent terms isn't all that surprising. I know a number of examples involving wooden ships where repairs were made that greatly compromised the entire structure because they didn't understand the hows and whys. Or as a more modern NASA inspired example: http://arstechnica.com/science/2013/04/how-nasa-brought-the-monstrous-f-1-moon-rocket-back-to-life/ |
