I've decided I need an SP01 in my life.  Anyone know of any in stock, they are hard to find at the moment.  I found one at a good price, but it's from a vendor who has requested copies of drivers licenses for credit card purchases in the past.  This is a non-starter for me.

Don't know if that is the vendor you are talking about, but I don't remember them requiring a drivers license for credit cards when I purchased from them.

What do you worry about, it's not like they're going to lose your driver's license information in a data breach or anything like that

Also, I got mine from KYGUNCO, no driver's license needed.

The one P01 I had had a terribly gritty trigger, both single action and double action.
I traded it off and got a West German P226 which had a much better trigger!

For about $50 more, kygunco has the suppressor ready model http://www.kygunco.com/Product/View?ItemNo=41016 . It was on sale a few weeks ago for about $620.

The time to get one was 6 years ago when CZs were still cheap and the Phantom model was still being imported.  You might find a used one on Gun Broker.

Not trying to talk you out of a SP-01, I have both.  SP-01 is my nightstand gun, but the P-09 is a lot better out of the box imo.

If I could only have one of the 3 it would be the regular P-09.  It's a sweet gun and it rides in the passenger seat beside me.

I had my hands on a Cajun tweaked SP01 last weekend. The DA trigger was smoother and lighter than my beloved P229 Elite. The Sig was still better in SA than the CZ, but not by a lot.

I have not yet seen those!!! Wow...

Looks to be a bit more high cut under the trigger and hammer

That, and they finally got the checkering right. Like a Dan Brown or EAA Witness Stock...

Two tone

Now if they would only ferritic nitrocarburize (Melonite) them...

My sp-01 comes to my FFL tomorrow! I'm so excited, been waiting for this pistol around 3 years.

I know the polymer versions are nice, but I want an all metal 9mm full sized pistol.

I have a g19, so I got polymer covered.

Is this your first CZ? Here's what to expect....
When you first open the case, you'll think "What is this piece of shit?" They come from the factory covered in some oily greasy shit that makes them look like
a 2 dollar whore after Fleet Week. Don't despair. Bring her home. Clean her up. Field strip and thoroughly clean that crap off and give her a good oil rub down.
Now ... trigger feel gritty? Not a problem. She WANTS you to use her. Run a few hundred rounds down her, and you'll find yourself absolutely in love. That 2 dollar whore
is now a super model.

The CZ is most definitely a gun that breaks in like a good leather boot. At first it seems stiff and gangly, but once it's had some use, feels like a tailored shirt.
You'll enjoy it.

Do a bit of polishing of the FCG, change out the factory mainspring for one of lighter weight, add an extended firing pin, short trigger reset, and you will indeed come to appreciate the CZ.

Thanks, I've read the best thing to do is shoot it and it will smooth things out.

I'll get a trigger kit from CGW but that's down the road. I wanted to get my grail pistol before the election otherwise I'd be waiting another 3 years.

Plus, if there is another panic, quality control for weapons manufactures plummet to meet demand.
My 1911 trigger spoiled me.

While I have the CZ fanboy attention, does anyone know where I could find a 40 sw slide assembly.  I love my CZ75bSA and hate 40, but limited minor really sucks in USPSA.  Would love to have a 40 upper to throw on there on match day, the mags and frame are the same.  CZ uppers are like hens teeth though.

Ordered my EVO Scorpion from KYGUNCO, no ID required by them. They were GTG.

Eventually I want an SP01. They be sexy AF. Would be a good brother to my P09 and my PCR.
