"Halloween comes early on ABC with It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

A cherished holiday classic, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown depicts the PEANUTS gang celebrating Halloween. Charlie Brown gets invited to a Halloween party and Linus hopes that this is the year he will be visited by The Great Pumpkin. And this year is extra great for Charlie Brown and his friends, as its the animated Halloween special's 50th anniversary."

Always hated Charlie Brown, as a kid I would watch because nothing was on the other channel. The Peanuts gang can fuck off and die.

I always miss when they are on TV. Which is why I bought the boxed set a few years ago.

Yep Something about them just makes me happy.

Loved them as a kid.  Can't really watch them now.  The "little kids haltingly reading the script" voice-overs are kind of grating.  But they are still a great window into a more innocent past.

They're always at 8pm, even the Christmas specials.  You're going to have to get used to it if you want your kids watching these shows.  Every year we have a deal that they get to watch and stay up late if they get ready for bed at 7pm.  It's a little treat for them.

I have the Halloween and Christmas ones on DVD. Never liked the Easter or Thanksgiving ones much.

I'm getting a Halloween Peanuts shirt made for me this year. I hope it's done in time to wear to work that Monday.

Just once, I'd love to see Charlie Brown run up like he's coming at the football, then launch a flying side kick into that bitches head.
