I know we have an AR section obviously but GD comes up with interesting answers.

How would one go about cloning one of these rifles?

IMDB says they are COLT'S.

I would use my workbench and similar looking parts.

Suggestions on parts? AR'S are still newer to me...I am a battle rifle guy.

Mk18 Mod 0 like your first picture is relatively easy to replicate. Actual M16 lower is optional.

I would suggest an upper, a lower, a barrel, and a stock. Maybe some other stuff too.

If you venture into the AR section, there is an, oh I don't,  900 page thread, dedicated to cloning the MK18.

Actual Mk 18 upper can be seen here- Link

They're just Mk18s and M4A1s.

You going for accurate parts, or just looks?

If just the overall look, very simple. Buy any upper with a front sight gas block, install drop in quad rail (30 second install), bolt on foregrip, add rail covers, add optic, profit. IR illuminator/laser optional.

As long as it doesn't turn into a 3 thousand dollar project :)

Is that A PVS-7 on his new style helmet?  We have been using 14s for over a decade so not sure how accurate that movie is with gear (never seen it).

I'd venture into the Mk18 clone thread mentioned earlier then.
