Always wanted one but the price point is so high. Plus the options for carbines in that range are extensive. I know shotguns are frowned upon for modern use but god damn they look cool.

I wouldn't buy one because I am done buying shotguns forever.

But the Battlefield Vegas owner reports that the Benelli M4 is the one shotgun that will NOT die.

I've owned 2, at different times. To me, it's an expensive novelty. I bought it as a toy and for defensive purposes, and realized my rifle weighs less, is shorter, and holds more ammunition. It's all personal preference, but those were my reasons.

the crimps are where the shells stop on the oem tube.  fuck that noise, buy the tube from dmw.  it will float one on the carrier as well.  built like a tank.

They come with these gay 2 piece tubes, internally capped. Easily removed and replaced for less than 100$.

The collapsible stock has its own issues. There are better options out there with better lengths of pull and they dont cost 300$

Promag makes an exact copy of a factory Benelli collapsible stock for about $120.
Get a tube for it around $75 and youre done.

My m4 purchase was all that I hoped for. It can except chokes so with a plug it can perform nearly all shotgun duties.

it's a semi and not some pump, plus it's made in italy and looks tactical

It's a good shotgun, Marines use it, duel rod gas operated system. If one rod breaks it'll keep running, that's the idea at least. It's a heavy shotgun though. Will cycle bird-shot barely, does better with buckshot and slugs. Not bad on the felt recoil due to it's weight. Yeah it looks pretty pimp with the collapsible stock.

add 2 more and its "compliant".  daves sells the parts as do others to make it "legal".  personally i FEEL this law is faggotry but would never suggest anyone break it.

I've never had a failure to cycle with birdshot.  Shot a few boxes screwing around breaking clays.  Did pretty well, plus less frequent reloads.  I do clean and lube but its soft recoil makes it fun for people who want to try a "tactical" shotgun.

yep,  bolt catch or other parts are cheap if a person felt the urge to comply with this law.  there is a list out there, i'm not sure they are 100% law so not linking.  I added 3 parts, the tube cost more than the other.

Save yourself a few hundred bucks (at least) and buy an M2, M3, or a gas gun like the FN or Remington.  The M4 is nothing special.

Or, you know, just buy a rifle if you want the best tool for the job.

I hate to say it, I love American made products, but they are worth it. I've owned several different semi auto's. Both Remington's and Mossberg's, hands down for out of the box gun the M4 outclasses everything I've ever owned.

No issues to report, I have close to 1500 rounds through mine.

Look in to an M2 if you're not a dedicated shotgun guy, they're are cheaper and run just as good. I know this because I own one, recoil is a little stiffer but whatever you're a man right?

Since engraving and fancy wood doesn't mean shit in the world of reliability and betting your ass on a fighting gun that can save your life or others you care about.

I bought the 'field stock' version of the M4. I am not a fan of the pistol grip...

The weapon is a pleasure to shoot.

Can you buy a cheaper weapon that looks the same? Yes.
