the hunt for red October is on the same level though. There is great movies than the rest. It's a league of movies, not just one.

All those movies suck ass compared with The Hunt for the Red October. Simplistic plots with no depth whatsoever. Not saying they are bad movies but they do not hold a candle to THFTRO.

I Hate Alec Baldwin for his politics but he was the best Jack Ryan. I can't say its the Best movie ever but I usually watch a little bit of it whenever I find it on TV.

The cast is about perfect.
